AFRICAN GEESE 2024

Three mated pairs of African geese provide lots of barnyard music! Their job is to sound the alarm when strangers come, and keep the grass in the front yard and ditches mowed.

We let them free-range during the day and lock them up safely at night. The hope is that the females lay eggs, set on them, and hatch goslings, although the hatch rate for goose eggs isn’t high.

Goslings will be for sale. Be sure to check the “Available Now” page regularly, or sign up for the farm email list.

Goose meat, which is succulent, all dark, and very flavorful, makes a delicious alternative for the holiday table. However, we only plan to dress out our own this year. The young ones for sale are sold LIVE.
